The entity is known as Te Tirohanga-A-Iwi.

The kaupapa of Te Tirohanga-a-iwi carries a wairua that comes from the union
of it's members. We are moved to do what we do because of that wairua, and
because of our resolve to complete the Vision. We do so without thoughts of
self gain or self credit.

By filling in and signing the Membership Application form you are agreeing to
be bound by the Terms and Conditions stipulated herein.

Agreement to the Terms and Conditions is effective from the time of signing.
Thereafter the membership shall be bound for the period of one year, or until
cancellation of membership.

General


Association to the entity is by membership application only.
 
Applicants must be 18 years or older.

New members will pay the full fee when joining between March 30 - August 30.
New members joining after August 30 and before March 30 will incur half the fee.
At the next AGM meeting all current members will pay for full membership.
 
Term of membership is to agree with a Consensus Foundation.

Three Executive seats are required for formalities such as Spokesperson for the association, 
Chairing meetings, recording documentation and financial requirements.
Our Group consists of 5 managing members.
5 members will qualify as a quorum at any given meeting.

If you would like your opinion to count then you will be present at the meeting.


During any given function members will wear the decided dress code, and all who wear this 
Uniform set out will remain sober throughout any event being held.

Members will try to arrive on time for all things to do with the Association !


Unacceptable Conduct 

covers the following:

- Members will be courteous and respectful to fellow members at all times. If there are 
disagreements within the membership they will be addressed in a formal manner at a meeting.

- General obnoxiousness, violent or abusive behaviour, causing damage to property, 
possession or use of illegal substances, racist or chauvinistic or degrading comments and behaviour.

We all know that there is joking and there is 'not' joking. Please be aware that while some people 
can take lighthearted banter, others cannot.

No members shall volunteer the services of another member without prior knowledge of that member.
 
No members shall disclose any details of Te Tirohanga-a-iwi private affairs or those of its members or 
guests to media or out in public unless decided otherwise at a meeting. 

If members are conversing outside of meeting times regarding the association or its members then 
these times are regarded as private issues. Individuals to such converse shall not make it their concern 
to make individual reports to other members when it could lead to heresy.

No member shall knowingly commit verbal injury to members of the association
or to the integrity of the association that will cause disharmony within the membership.
 
All issues should be brought to any meeting for the membership to discuss.
 
Cancellation of membership is possible but it is more agreeable to sort out matters
in an orderly and acceptable manner befitting our cause. The final decision regarding
violations and so forth will come from an association meeting.

Communication

Members shall make it their priority to keep themselves informed by updating their details whenever 
necessary.

Shall also clearly indicate your chosen method of being kept informed to newsletters and updates.

Meeting notices will be sent out according to your individual choice.
* We need to remember the cost and time taken for postal communications.

Nominations
 
Founders shall always be known as the Founders.

Election of the managing members shall occur annually at the fixed AGM date which is the last Sunday of March.

Nominations are open to members of Te Tirohanga-a-iwi only. 
Paid members only, will have the right to elect.
Elections shall be held by open voting and acceptance to the role, followed by a show of hands.

Meeting Procedure 

Meetings will be held with 7-14 days notice to the membership by way of members preferred 
communication choice. 

Emergency meetings can be called within a 7-day period by contacting the current Chairman 
and Secretary for validity. If it is regarded an emergency then the members will be notified. 

A quorum of five existing members at any given meeting will be regarded as enough for final decisions made. 
If members are unable to attend a meeting but would like to have their say on certain matters, they can put
their concerns forth through another member or guest. Proxy. 

Services

Fundraising events that require paid services will require a contract
to be filled in and signed by both Te Tirohanga-A-Iwi and the Service Provider to 
ensure that money to be paid is agreed upon by both partys prior to services rendered.
